Welcome to Popinspect. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Popinspect website, mobile experience, and pre-grade intelligence service operated by Popinspect Inc. ("Popinspect," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. What Popinspect is — and isn't
Popinspect is pre-grade intelligence. We use computer vision and a calibrated 47-point inspection rubric to predict what PSA, CGC, or Beckett are likely to grade your Funko Pop. We are not affiliated with PSA, CGC, Beckett, Funko Inc., or any official grading authority. The official grade for any item still comes from those organizations after their independent submission process.
2. Accounts
You must be 18+ to create an account. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials private. Account sign-in is handled by our identity partner Clerk; their terms apply to that flow.
3. Credits and payments
Pre-grades are paid for using credits sold in packs through PayPal. Credits are non-transferable, non-monetary tokens. Credits never expire.Refunds for unused credits within the Bulk plan's 30-day refund window are honored at face value; outside that window, all sales are final. Pricing on the site is the authoritative reference at time of purchase.
4. Content you upload
You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By submitting a pre-grade you grant Popinspect a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, process, and analyze those photos for the purpose of generating your report, improving the model, and showing your report back to you (or to anyone with the explicit share link you generate). We do not sell your photos to third parties. Image hosting is provided by DigitalOcean Spaces.
5. Accuracy and disclaimers
We work hard to make pre-grades accurate (currently ±0.5 of the real PSA grade in 94% of audited cases), but pre-grades are predictions, not guarantees. You bear the risk of any decision you make based on a pre-grade — including the cost of any official submission. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) attempt to reverse-engineer the model, (b) submit fraudulent or stolen content, (c) abuse rate limits or run automated scraping against our APIs, (d) impersonate another user, or (e) use the service to authenticate counterfeit goods.
7. Termination
We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms. You may close your own account at any time from your account page. Unused credits are not refunded on account closure unless a Bulk-plan refund window still applies.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Popinspect's total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify active users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
