Twelve checks separate a successful submission from a $25 mistake. Walk this list before every Pop goes in the box — printable, copyable, save it.

Condition (steps 1-4)

1. Inspect all 8 box corners under raking light. Note any whitening, crush, or crease. Corner damage scale →

3. Tilt the window under daylight bulb — check for scratches, clouding, and cracks. Window scratch impact →

4. Inspect figure paint through the window. Look for slop, eye-centering, gloss inconsistency.

Photos & pre-grade (steps 5-7)

5. Shoot 5 photos (front, back, left, right, window close-up) under daylight lighting at 45°. Photo setup guide →

6. Run a free Popinspect pre-grade. Read the SEND / MAYBE / HOLD / SKIP recommendation.

7. If MAYBE, re-shoot the flagged area, re-run the pre-grade. If still MAYBE, pull the submission.

Paperwork (steps 8-10)

8. Fill out the grader's submission form with accurate declared value (match recent eBay sold comps; under-declaring voids insurance).

10. Decide on add-ons: subgrades (Beckett includes; CGC adds $5), authentication (CGC includes), signature series (extra fee).

Packing & shipping (steps 11-12)

11. Pack each Pop in a Pop Stack or fitted shipper. Cushion with 2" of foam or paper on all sides in the outer box.

How do I avoid mistakes when submitting Funko Pops for grading?

Do I need to clean my Funko Pop before submitting?

Mostly no. Light dust can be brushed off with a soft makeup brush. Don't wipe with cloth (can scratch window plastic). Don't apply cleaners. Don't attempt to fix corner whitening — graders detect restoration.

What's the most important step of the pre-submission checklist?
